Banner Wisdom 2000 is a video poetry collection of sixteen haiku composed entirely from static frames of early-2000s web banner ads. Each poem is a bite-sized piece of life advice, remixed from the commercial language that once fought for clicks across the early web.

The poems appear on screen alongside voice synthesis recitation. Marketing slogans turn into strange, earnest, and sometimes absurd reflections on how to live.

The project pays homage to earlier traditions of reworking commercial ephemera into new forms of meaning. Early web ads leaned heavily on imperative rhetoric: "Click here," "Act now," "Don't miss out." Stripped from their original context and reassembled as poetry, these commands become something gentler. The urgency sells nothing. It just speaks.
